Hot pink, lime green, turquoise, orange, and purple with swirls of shiny silver, are the colors of this eyeglass case. This eyeglass case has a unique feature. It closes with hidden magnets. I did not want to use a regular magnetic snap closing because it could easily scratch your lenses. Nor did I want to use a metal snap to close the top because you have to press down on that style snap – not a good idea to use pressure on closing a case that holds your expensive eye glasses. I wanted to make sure that they stay in the holder, unlike the style you get free at your optometrist’s office, with the open end. I don’t know how many times I have reached inside my purse to get my glasses and start to panic because the case is empty. Did I forget them at home or are they at the bottom of purse getting scratched?
There is an added layer of quilt batting to help protect your lenses. There are two layers of interfacing and another layer of a heavy weight stabilizer to make the whole case rigid.
I used cotton fabrics on the outside and for the lining – no unfinished seams. All stress points have been stitched twice.
I have shown my glasses for reference only. This case was designed to fit reading glasses and eyeglasses that are approximately 2 1/2″ wide when folded.
Measures: 7 1/4″ high, when closed x 3 1/4″ wide
Care: Hand wash, dry flat. Iron warm – be careful not to iron on top of where the magnets are.
