Modern Linen Quilt in Green and Red

Using improvisational piecing, I made this modern quilt using green linen, off-white cotton and a variety of red-hued linens. The “crushed” cotton gives the quilt an antique appearance, while the linen has a wonderful weight and drape. This is the perfect quilt for laying at the bottom of the bed or cuddling under on the sofa.

The front of the quilt is a quirky variation on a traditional log cabin block. The back of the quilt is also beautifully pieced together in a soft denim chambray, green linen and a pink floral print. I machine quilted the quilt, using a geometric, linear pattern overall and bound the edges with a fun, red gingham check.

Quilt top is 100% linen and 100% cotton.
Quilt batting is 87/13 cotton/poly.
Quilt backing is 100% linen and 100% cotton.

This quilt is made to be loved and can be gently machine washed and dried. Unless otherwise noted, all Peppermint Pinwheels quilts are washed after completion with a gentle, scent free detergent so they come to you fresh and clean!
