As practical today as the Early American Pocket Watch Hutches that the inspiration for this box came from.
In the late 1700’s to the mid 1800’s pocket watches were very expensive and not carried constantly. Frequently they were hung in small wooden boxes with a window to keep the face visible.
Made from solid Black Walnut and Butternut, all brass hardware, finished with shellac and wax.
