Colorful French Macarons Collage!
This is an original collage by me, signed, unique, and using mixed media. The base is a piece of white cardstock with gold edges. The collage uses construction paper, fine Italian paper, clippings from a vintage French Marie-Claire Magazine from 1939 which belonged to my grandmother, and some original French calligraphy clippings from an old postcard. This piece is a unique collage, meaning that I will not re-create it via reproductions.
Framing: ready for framing with 1/4 of an inch left free of collage around the artwork
*The frame included in the photo is not included and for demonstration purposes only*
Petri dishes 1 is a new twist on my microbiology theme. Brightly-colored bacteria and other microorganisms bloom in their laboratory habitat – petri dishes. The contents of each dish are individually painted in watercolors, using a wet-in-wet technique. Then they are cut out and placed in their petri dishes (also hand-painted) and mounted on arches watercolor paper.
Wouldn’t it be lovely to drift all day on this houseboat, with your garden along for the journey!

digital print of my digital collage/painting Emily.
I take photos and them download them to photo shop. after which I use the photoshop tools to create textures for backgrounds and also to paint into the photographs. Most of my works are created using anywhere from 10-20 layers.
I try to let my subjects (imaginary girl children) tell me who they are and where they are from. A little at a time they let me know a bit about the world they come from.
