This art piece holds a very special place in my heart. I created it a long time ago (about 8 years ago) and it was my first work in my favorite medium (ink and marker pen). It features a purple nymph with pretty butterflies in her hair.
I created this collagraph from a photo I shot of my crazy black lab, Murphy. I get this look every time he is ready to chase the tennis ball . . . . which is often. This image is cropped and the actual image size is 9.25″ x 7″. I usually add color to my collagraphs, but have decided to try working with just black and white so that the textures can really sing. I have mixed some burnt sienna ink in with the black to give it a warm feel and have added a little hand coloring.
I love working on these pieces because although they are very time consuming they become a type of meditation for me.
Very cute and useful pacifier clip. Great to have around when baby is wailing and there is not time to look around for the pacifier.
Cabled cowl hand-knitted with pure sheep wool. It has an ending that gives the garment a Victorian style at the same time modern. The body was knitted with cabled ribs that gives consistency and firmness to the piece. The one–piece garment fastens with two wooden buttons.
