Tempered Glass Bowl

Beautiful handmade fused glass bowl made from reclaimed tempered window glass (it was formerly my kitchen window!) The window glass shatters when cut and the tempered glass bits are re-assembled and fired in a kiln in my Portland glass studio. It was then slumped into a shallow bowl mold that adds shape and depth. This piece has spend about 40 hours in my kilns over three separate firings. You can use this bowl as a centerpiece, a serving piece, or just a decorative item for you to display. Bowl is 10″ in diameter and is heavier than most fused glass bowls as it is about over 8mm thick and weighs nearly 3 pounds. Food safe and dishwasher safe, although I recommend hand washing for all of my glass pieces.
