The Dolphins, sculpted recycled oak wine barrel staves ornamental piece

This amazingly crafted ornamental piece of home décor has been skillfully hand carved out of two oak wine barrel staves, recycled, reinvented and molded into this ingenious and quite exceptional creation.

The natural curve of the barrel stave has been cleverly used to create the line and silhouette of two dolphins in motion.

The Dolphins are stained with a washed-out ocean green color that confers a silky marble-like appearance to them, enhancing the overall sense of sleekness of the piece.

Our Dolphins are placed next to each other, standing on two thin (1/8 of an inch) steel rods, which secure them into a sturdy base wedge, also made of recycled oak from the same wine barrel, while letting them ‘float’ (swim?!) freely in the air.
Our Dolphins can be added to your home as an extraordinary and unique piece of home decor, easily integrated into any style of interior designing from the rustic to the more contemporary, or be shared as a very original and inimitable gift idea.

The solid wood of a recycled oak wine barrel has a very distinctive element of charm that is conveyed into every object we create.
Every individual barrel carries the signs of its unique history in every stave, creating subtle differences in color, grain and dimensions.
All of our creations are entirely made of recycled white oak from discarded French wine barrels.

The Dolphins measurements are: L 12 3/4”, H 14 1/2, W 5”, the base by itself is 3 1/2” X 6 1/2” X 1 5/8”

We love the fact that we are able to help the environment by recycling the raw material and to turn it into an object of ‘practical elegance’ at the same time.
